NEWSFLASH #1: TOM RUSSELL WILL APPEAR AGAIN ON THE DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW—Tuesday, August 21st—and if there’s any truth to the rumor we’re catching wind of here in Montana (Dave’s “home” state!), Tom’s planning to perform his hit, “Who’s Gonna Build Your Wall?,” both lyric and riff beaming with that sagacity, sanctity, and sass you’ll place on the same musical 200% de Agave Azul top shelf with the songs of, say, Bob Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen…. Take a power nap and have a triple espresso with supper, if that’s what it’ll take to keep you glued wide-eyed to the tube for the Late Show With David Letterman on August 21st. After which, you can forget about sleep altogether, as Tom’s powerful song is certain to keep you contemplatingly “Tossin’ & Turnin’” for nights to come. |
