6. Been watching quite a few movies this year.  Some faves you may, or may not, find engaging: The Wrestler, Grand Torino, The Changeling, Twenty-one (21), Synecdoche, New York (not for those looking solely for entertainment), Hard 8 (1996 film, I believe), Love In The Time Of Cholera, and Cadillac Records, just to mention a few.  The strongest film I’ve seen in years is the documentary Man On Wire.  I wrote about Philippe Petit years ago in a yet-to-be-published self-interview—part of a new manuscript titled 51: 30 POEMS, 20 SONGS, ONE SELF-INTERVIEW.  As he takes that first step off the building’s ledge onto his high-wire illegally strung between the World Trade Towers back in 1974, he locks firmly into all of time the definitive Fearlessness, Freedom, Fierceness & Fun metaphor for entering the otherworldly dimension we so casually and loosely refer to as the creative process.  A LOT more about Petit in the Self-Interview.  See this film if you consider yourself an artist and, if it doesn’t make you weep, you ain’t one at least, not in The Book According To CZARzyski, you ain’t.
